1. Agreement
By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using Sloth, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Sloth. If you use Sloth for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you are not the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
3. What Sloth provides
Sloth is a productivity application that can organize tasks, surface activity-based suggestions, search folders you approve, connect selected third-party services, generate AI-assisted drafts, and help reverse certain supported changes. Features may vary by plan, operating system, release channel, or availability.
4. Permissions and user control
You choose which folders, activity signals, integrations, and context Sloth may access. You are responsible for having the right to provide that access and content. Sloth will not reliably detect or reverse every change, and its recovery features are not a substitute for backups, version control, or the undo and file-history tools provided by other applications.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Sloth to violate law or another person’s rights; access systems or data without authorization; distribute malware; evade security controls; abuse or disrupt the service; scrape or reverse engineer protected service components except where law permits; impersonate others; or use automated means to exceed plan limits. You may not submit content you do not have the right to use.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Sloth a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, and improve the service consistent with the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your content and for maintaining independent copies of important information.
7. Third-party services
Sloth may connect to services such as GitHub, cloud infrastructure, CAPTCHA providers, AI providers, and payment processors. Your use of those services is governed by their terms. Sloth is not responsible for third-party services, availability, content, or changes. Disconnecting an integration may disable related features.
8. Plans and billing
Free and paid plans may have limits on active tasks, AI requests, estimated AI tokens, models, retention, integrations, or automation. Daily and monthly AI allowances reset on the schedule shown on the pricing page. Sloth may reserve a conservative token estimate before sending a request, and a failed or canceled provider request may still count toward an allowance. Before a paid purchase, Sloth will display the price, billing interval, and material plan terms. Subscriptions renew until canceled through the provided billing controls. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. We may change future pricing or plan features with reasonable notice; changes will not retroactively alter a completed billing period.
9. Software license
Subject to these terms, Sloth grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the desktop application for personal or internal business purposes. Sloth and its licensors retain all rights in the application, website, branding, and service that are not expressly granted.
10. Beta and changes
Some features may be labeled preview, beta, or experimental and may change, fail, or be discontinued. We may update Sloth to improve functionality, security, or compliance. We may suspend a feature or the service when reasonably necessary, and will try to provide notice when practical.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sloth is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sloth and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Sloth in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Sloth and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or fail to pay applicable fees. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.
14. General terms
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about Sloth. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger, reorganization, or asset transfer. Applicable law and courts will be determined by the jurisdiction in which JoinSloth is legally organized, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will post the new effective date. If a material change requires consent, we will ask before it applies. Questions can be sent to info@joinsloth.com.
